Abbotsford Family Medical Practice (AFMP) is a long -established, fully accredited Medical Practice in Sydney's inner west.

Our committed team of general medical practitioners, allied health professionals and reception staff aim to provide a high standard of personal medical care and comprehensive health management in a friendly and caring environment.

We believe that optimal health and well-being is achieved by adopting a holistic and integrative approach, utilising the skills and expertise of a wide range of practitioners working together.

AFMP provides both male and female GPs offering a broad range of general medical services. All have undergone extensive training, are involved in continuing professional development and are vocationally registered with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

We are proud of our long-standing association with Sydney University in the training of medical students, and with the RACGP in providing supervision to trainee GPs.

Working with and complementing our GPs are our Allied Health Practitioners, who provide expertise in nursing care, physiotherapy, osteopathy, psychology, nutrition and podiatry.

Accreditation

AFMP is fully accredited with AGPAL (Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd). Accreditation is a comprehensive and stringent process which ensures standards of excellence in all aspects of Medical Care.

Children and Babies

AFMP provides toys and a small play area for children in the reception area. Additionally a baby change table is available.

Facilities for People with Disability

The surgery has full wheelchair accessibility. Should you have any special needs please discuss them with the receptionist or your Doctor.

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.
